Dialysis Asistant (x2)

PURPOSE

Execute duties in line with the company’s business objectives; Lining and priming of dialysis machines in preparation for the shift. Cleaning and maintenance of dialysis machines and other medical equipment in the unit. Recording and reporting of machine hours as per company policy. Receiving of stock and record keeping of all stock movements. Responsible for weekly and monthly stock counts. Reporting stock shortages in order to avoid any stock emergencies in the unit.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• • 2 years’ experience in a medical environment
  • ENA qualification (SANC registered) will be an added advantage.

Dialysis Practitioner (Enrolled Nurse)

Purpose         

Provide dialysis treatment to patients in accordance with the company’s set policies and standards. Nurse and maintain the patients holistic care and monitor patients’ vital signs while on dialysis machine (pre, during and post). Perform CVC and Cannulation procedures. Admission of patients. Monitoring the quality initiatives as prescribed and according to SARS (South African Renal Society). Report directly to the Unit Manager or to the Shift Leader.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Enrolled Nurse
• Membership – SANC

Experience

• At least 3 years’ experience in a medical environment;
• Experience in a renal environment will be an added advantage.
